UrbanAlternatives is for people who are not in the mainstream, who take the time to think and be different.
Yeah, this covers a really diverse range of individuals;
Emos, Goths, Scenes, Punks, etc, but we think we've all got something in common: we could never be normal

What do we do? |

Nationally, urbanalternatives.org.uk aims to become the voice of young alternatives
We already have projects in two cities where we support alternatives who are targeted by the authorities for hanging out together. We're currently looking at some new towns and cities where young alternatives have asked us to help them put things on.

How does this website work?
Registering is quick and simple
You get a Profile which you can customise with your own page, galleries, blog, etc.
But most of the action is in the forums: that's where people discuss and plan things, or just chat about whatever interests them.
We're still building the website,
so sorry if some of it's a bit awkward!

Volunteer with UrbanAlternatives! |
|
| |
|
How does it work when you Volunteer with us?
You will get a written role description: sometimes you'll be able to help write it!
Your expenses will be paid: it should never cost you anything except your time
We will make sure you have the training you need to carry out your role safely and happily.
You can get Vinspired Certificates for volunteering,
and also nationally recognised OCN certificates from us for new skills that you learn
You get to have a good time and make new friends!
